To use the Quintic Video Analysis Software you will need a personal computer and a digital video camcorder of which there are many types. For example Mini DV Camera, Scan Disk Camera (SD), Hard Disk Device Camera (HDD), High Definition (HD), Casio High-Speed, USB2, USB3, GigE High-Speed cameras. Quintic has increased video format compatibility with the latest digital cameras available on the market (including the Iphone 6 / Ipad), producing video file types such as: *.avi, *.mov, *.mpeg, *.wmv, *.mp4, *.flv, *.vob, *.swf, *.mod, *.mpa … (Please note: Additional codecs are often required to play certain video formats).

Quintic software requires full administrator rights to load and run the software for the first occasion. Once the software has been 'unlocked' using Quintic security, then specific user accounts (if required) can be set-up on your computer.

Quintic offer a bespoke service whereby we supply a laptop/desktop with suitable specifications for your choice of high-speed cameras. Your computer will have alll the associated software/drivers for any Quintic high-speed cameras / software you have purchased. We will ensure all the cameras and software is configuring correctly, ready for immediate use.   • Minimum monitor resolution of 1280 x 1024
      • 4 + video playback 1920 x 1080 recommended
      • 6 + video playback 2560 x 1440 recommended
  • High specification graphics capability - in particular for multi high-speed LIVE camera capture.

If you are looking to source your own laptop/desktop for use with the Quintic hardware / software, the important aspects to consider are detailed below.

  • USB2 Camera Capture

    i5 Processor: 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge or newer), 4GB RAM.
    Hard Drive Write Speed:
    Single Camera: 25 mb/s minimum
    Connectivity: 1 or 2 x USB2 ports (NB: USB2 cameras will only run at ~75% of maximum speed in a USB3 port!)
    Minimum Monitor Resolution: 1280 x 1024


  • USB3 1MP/4MP HS Camera Capture

    i5/i7 Processor: 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge or newer), 16GB RAM.
    Hard Drive Write Speed (Solid State Disk (SSD) recommended)
    Single Camera: 100 mb/s minimum
    Connectivity: 1 x USB3 ports
    Minimum Monitor Resolution: 1280 x 1024


  • GigE Camera Capture: Maximum of six cameras

    i7 Processor: 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge or newer), 8GB RAM.
    Hard Drive Write Speed:
    Single Camera: 25 mb/s minimum
    Dual Camera: 50 mb/s minimum
    Four Camera: 100 mb/s minimum (SSD recommended)
    Six Camera: 150 mb/s minimum (SSD recommended)
    Connectivity - You can connect the cameras via either of the below options:
    High-Speed Ethernet Port (one port per camera)
    USB3 port and a USB3 to Dual Ethernet Adapter (one adapter per two cameras)
    Minimum Monitor Resolution: 1280 x 1024
    Four Camera: 1920 x 1080 recommended
    Six Camera: 2560 x 1440 recommended
